I just got home after spending a week in Park City, Utah, with Laura and her family. Just like 2 years ago, we stayed in the Westgate Resort in Park City. However, there wasn't a lot of snow - hardly any down where we were, and, most of the time we only needed a light jacket. Up on the slopes it was better, but apparently there wasn't good powder. It was kind of icy, making skiing and snowboarding (which Brian and Cade do) a little more tricky. Laura took a bad fall her second day and wrenched her thumb, so she was not to enthused about skiing too much more. Mostly we shopped in Park City. I did take a lot of pictures, which I haven't edited yet. I'll have to post them in the next day or so.
I left Park City yesterday at 2:30 PM, flew to Denver, where I had a 3 hour layover. They had to de-ice the plane before we could leave Denver, because it was sleeting and snowing. After we were in the air, I did watch the movie "Frozen", which was available on a seat-back video player - neat. What a cute movie! If you have children, they will love it, and the songs are so catchy. Finally got to Nashville after 11:00 PM, and then had to wait 45 min. for our luggage. My darling youngest daughter was there to pick me up, but it sure did make for a long day! I spent the night there, and then headed for home today, after they left for church. It feels so good to be back in my favorite lounge chair, sitting by my husband, and catching up on what went on during the week. I have to start making another baby book that's been ordered, so tomorrow I'll get to it. Love to all. Sorry I haven't written much lately. Judy
The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.
