About Me

My photo
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

A GORGEOUS LAYOUT FROM ARLENE AT BUTTERFLY KISSESI

I was so blown away by this wonderful layout by Arlene at "Butterfly Kisses", whom's blogsite I follow. She is a designer for Graphic 45, and I love the things she does! She published the instructions on Snap guide, which was helpful to me, because I have some pictures that I would like to feature like this, and I generally don't use multi layers of paper. But I am definitely going to give this a try. Enjoy.

Check out How to Create a 12x12 Wedding Scrapbook Page by Arlene Butterflykisses on Snapguide.

A NEW ALBUM IN A DAY VIDEO FOR A SPECIAL BABY

I actually did make this album in one day. It was a special order album from a customer on my Etsy shop. It turned out really cute, so I wanted to make a video and show it to you. Hope you like it.

HERE'S A QUICK LOOK AT THE GRAPHIC 45 PAPER I'LL BE USING IN MY PROJECT

This paper is so great!  It's called "French country".  I'm going to try to get with it sometime this week, because I'm going to be going out-of-town next week.

NEW GRAPHIC 45 PROJECT COMING SOON!!

I'm so excited!!  I have a new Graphic 45 project coming up that I think you're really going to love - at least I hope you will.  I had to order my paper tonight, and I should get it over the week-end, so next week I can hopefully film episode one.  It's made with a tablet of 8" x 8" paper, so find a tablet that you like, and make it with me.  You will also want some decorative chipboard, a few sheets of transparencies, and some matching ribbon to use in a bow-type closure.  It's a small "Notebook", and I'm going to use Graphic 45 French Country paper line in the 8 x 8 size.  Get your supplies and work along with me!

I FINALLY GOT THE MINI-ALBUM LID DECORATED. HAVE A LOOK!

I hope you enjoy this short video of how I decorated the lid for the mini-album I made last week. It wasn't a lot, because the paper didn't need it. Also, I think I've finally figured out a good way to organize all my Cricut cartridges, and it takes up less space in my craft room. Let me know what you think.

THIS IS WHAT WE WILL BE WORKING ON

It suddenly dawned on me tonight that you don't really know what our little mini-album will look like when it's finished.  This is the picture that came with instructions, so I'm hoping mine turns out just like it!

MY SHOPPING BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED - TEMPORARILY!

Yesterday my sister and I went shopping in Pigeon Forge, she wanted to get some apple frittter mix at the Apple Barn Restaurant, but my main mission was to go to the Scrapbook Super Center. We both got our wishes and had a great time.

I've Been Away.

I just got back tonight from Nashville, where my sister and I had been visiting our youngest daughter and her three children.  We had a wonderful time!  We got to see her oldest son (age nearly 13) play football in a scrimmage.  We got to see her youngest son (age 6) play soccer, and then we also went to her daughter's (age 7) "Spring Fling" for gymnastics.  Whew, we were busy.  We also had tickets to go to a steeplechase, but the weather was cold and rainy, so we opted out of that.  Then Saturday night, we all put on a talent show.  I've filmed a lot of all we did, and after I've had time to edit everything, I post a video.  Some of it was pretty funny.  I also went to a scrapbook store - my month of no buying has expired.  I just bought some Graphic 45 "Once Upon A Springtime" paper, some Prima flowers and Scor-Tape.  I intend to start another album project soon.
