About Me

My photo
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

GREAT NEWS! TWO OF MY LESSONS IN CARDMAKING ARE UP ON "CURIOUS"

After many trials and gnashing of teeth, two of my videos are on Curious.com as lessons.  You might have seen them before if you've followed my blog, but go on: http//curious.com/JudyGoodson and watch my 2 lessons.  It'll give me some encouragement and make me look good if someone besides just me visits the site.  LOL!

Also, I've been selling my Rainbow Loom bracelets like crazy on my Etsy shop.  Here's one I made this week, and I just love it!  I call it FIESTA.

I HAVE THIS WEEK ALL TO MYSELF

My husband is off on his annual pheasant hunt in South Dakota this week, so I am having a good time, sleeping late, eating out, making cards and learning how to color with Spectrum Noir pens - my latest passion.  I have been watching You Tube videos on these really great alcohol pens, and I decided to purchase the basic set on eBay.  Now I have 72 pens that I have to take lessons to learn how to use correctly.  As I get a little better, I'll take some pictures of my practice sessions, but not yet.  I am just enjoying making some Halloween cards right now.  Also, I'm starting the Halloween paper bag book that I'm going to show you in a video.  I've got it pretty well underway, so I will have to go backwards a bit, but it's matchbook style, so it's not hard to pick up.  The most important part is the preparation of the paper bags, and that'll probably be the longest video.  I hope to get that made before my husband gets back and I have to clean up my mess again.
