I must confess that these winter days have gotten me down. Here in Teneessee we don't usually have such miserable, depressing, cold days, but this winter has been the exception. I have had 2 bad colds withing the past month, which have slowed me down considerably. My husband and I have spent many a day recently sitting in our living room in our lounge chairs doing nothing but watching
TV all day and evening long. Thanks goodness daylight savings time starts this week-end. At least it won't be getting dark so early after that.
On a bright note, I did get in on the HSN launch of the new Cricut Explore. I got it last week, but I haven't done anything with it yet. I've been spending a lot of time on You Tube watching tutorials, so that I'll know how to work it when I do finally get up the nerve to turn the thing on. Then I will finally get around to making some more videos. My craftroom is in fairly good shape now, and I have a new table, so I have no excuse. Please stay with me, and I hope to get back to my old self again.
The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

HAD A WONDERFUL TIME SCRAPBOOKING, BUT NOW BACK TO THE REAL WORLD.
I managed to get everything accomplished at the scrapbooking retreat that I wanted to. I made a cute mini album for a baby boy that has yet to be born, and I loaded up my Project Life scrapbook with lots of pictures that I had taken during the year and never done anything with. You know, those occasional photos you take that really turn out cute, but they're not part of an event that you would scrapbook in a few pages. That's where Project Life comes in handy. You can put the single photos you take of everyday life and put it in a page with some journaling on a little card right beside it. My biggest problem was that I hadn't bothered to put dates on a lot of the pictures, so I had trouble getting them in chronological order. That took 1/2 day in itself.
The snow stayed on the ground for the whole time I was in Sevierville, and we never did get water in our bathroom but by the day I left, the weather had warmed up and no snow was in sight. I took some neat pictures of it when it was freshly fallen, and they turned out so pretty! But now I'm tired of winter, and I want spring to arrive. Unfortunately snow is forecast again for tomorrow and a couple days next week. I am not a winter person, and this year I didn't get to take my yearly winter trip to sunny Florida - too busy. I guess that's why I'm so cranky.
Good news, though, I have a new work table for my craft room, and I hope to be making some videos again soon. I have to get over the bronchitis that I caught during my retreat in Sevierville first. Have a good week-end.

BE VERY CAREFUL THIS WINTER - AT LEAST IF THERE IS SNOW OR ICE ON THE GROUND!
This is just a reminder that winter is on the way. We don't get much snow here anymore due to global warming, but I know that a lot of you do. Beware of the snow and ice! This video says it all:
