The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

A DAY LATE, BUT I HOPE ALL FATHERS HAD A GREAT FATHER'S DAY!
This is our sweet little Cade and his Daddy a couple of years ago at the beach at sundown. I think it's a perfect picture of what Father's Day is all about. None of our children were here yesterday, but they were with us in spirit. I will be seeing both of our daughters soon, as well as our grandchildren. It's a bummer not living closer to them! Kiss your loved ones and have a good day. Judy

YESTERDAY WAS A GREAT DAY!
I had such a great time yesterday. My daughter had a doctor's appointment, and she felt well enough to drive herself, so I got to spend some time with my sister, Jan, and my brother, Jim, whom I had only seen one time since I've been down here in Florida. We went out for lunch at Lake Worth Beach, where I spent so much time as I was growing up. They've had major renovations of the Casino and it's buildings and new stores have gone in. It really looks wonderful, and the day was gorgeous, so there were quite a few people out enjoying the day - mostly elderly folks down for the winter. Lake Worth is a huge retirement community for Northerners. Here are some pictures I took with my cell phone. Hope they're not too bad.
See how calm the surf is. Most unusual for this time of year.

This is my brother and sister together. I'm the oldest, and Jan is the youngest.
This is Mulligan's Restaurant, which is facing the ocean.
My brother ordered the fried fish plate. Look at the size of that thing!
This is a picture of our pier that has to be re-built every time there is a hurricane.
This is just another view of Lake Worth Beach - such a pretty day. Not many people were in the water, though, so it must have been a little cold.
