I'm All Into Making Paper Flowers This Week.

I just wanted to let you know what I've been doing lately.  I have totally fallen in love with making paper roses by hand.  Really,  I do all the cutting and folding, and then gluing by hand at night while I'm watching TV, and it find it so relaxing.  It does make my hands kind of sore, though.  I mostly make roses 4-5 inches across with all sorts of paper colored on both sides.  I ink the edges to make them look rustic, and then I paint a pretty little bottle like the one above and make it look rustic.  I'm going to start an Etsy shop to see if I can sell some of the bouquets, because I don't have that many shelves in my house to set my creations on.  Of course I'm still into Close To My Heart, and our new catalog for 2015-16 comes out in Sept.  I've seen it, and the new Holiday stamps and papers are wonderful!  Send me an e-mail if you want a new catalog.  Otherwise you can go right to my website next month and order:

RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY!

I have seen enough rain in our area lately to last me for the rest of the year!  Seriously, it has been the wettest summer I can remember.  Fortunately we live on a hill, so we don't have to worry about flooding on our property, but the roads are being flooded by the creeks and making driving very dangerous.  Our crop of tomatoes is so water-logged that they're mostly rotting before they ripen.  So discouraging!
     On the plus side, I've had a lot of chances to just stay at home and scrapbook.  I also have a new passion - making paper flowers by hand.  I use any double-sided paper I can find.  When I get some pictures taken, I'll post them.
