Well, things have returned to normal - my kitchen is back in shape, the new FREE dishwasher is working fine, I received the new Cricut Imagine cartridge I ordered today -"Snow Angels", my husband took me out to our favorite Italian restaurant for supper and then he went and bought us new 8 piece place settings of Corel dinnerware (badly needed). All I can think is that his ship must have come in, but he is saying nothing. I just keep my mouth shut and accept the generosity happily!
In order to make my video, I need everyone out of the house, the phones off, and the TV definitely off, and for the past day or so we've been iced in. Hopefully, it'll be warmer and sunny tomorrow so I can have some peace and quiet and make the video I've been wanting to post. I feel silly doing it with my husband standing around, but I may ask him to hold the camera for me. We'll see. It shouldn't be that much of a production, should it? How does everyone else do a demo video? Do you use a tripod, or a good friend to hold the camera? How about lighting? I feel so stupid, but I'm going to try anyway.
The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

No Video Today, Unfortunately
Hi Guys,
I had everything all set up on my dining room table to do my video, when my husband called and said he would take me out shopping for a new dishwasher - badly needed because the door was falling off my old dishwasher and would break one's foot if there was no footstool underneath it when it was opened up! I was so excited! So I turned my camera off and shoved my papers aside and went off to meet him. On the way, he called me back and said that a friend, who he was eating lunch with, had just gotten a new dishwasher, and the one he replaced was still in good shape and working order, but sitting out in the cold. We went and looked at it, and decided to take it because it was free. Thus - when I got home from grocery shopping, the kitchen and dining room were in a total shambles with tools, dirty dishes that had been in the old dishwasher, and my husband crawling around under the counter with wires and hoses and all sorts of stuff I could tell that my video was not going to get done today, and the mess continued throughout the afternoon.
Then it was time to give it a try - it DID NOT WORK!! However, I held on to my thoughts of, "we should have bought a new one" and went ahead and did the dirty dishes. Apprently there had been ice binding up the motor, and after a couple of hours, we tried it again, and the things worked! My prayers were answered! So, have faith, the video will come soon.
Bye for now.
