- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

SPRINGTIME IN THE SMOKIES - AT LONG LAST!!
I do believe that spring has finally shown it's face for good this week-end. We even had our air conditioner on for a brief period today. It's been a long time coming, I'll tell you that! Just last week-end the temperatures were below freezing. Now, our martins have come back (fortunately our gourds are up!), our weeping cherry is blooming, our resident corn snake, Sir Hiss, has been out sunning on the rocks, and the days have been sunny and bright. Love it!!!
