The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

GOOD LUCK AT K-MART!
This morning I headed off to Sears with an ad from Sunday's paper in my hands. I was hoping to get a Kitchen Aide mixer for $199 with $30 rebate. The usual price on these mixers is about $300 or so. I've wanted a mixer with dough hooks for a long time, and I was sure this was going to be my luck day! When I got to our Sears store in the mall, I was informed that that particular store didn't carry small appliances. I asked the salesperson why they would put the ad in the paper for something they don't even carry, and his lame answer was that "Well, some of our stores in other areas do carry them. You ought to try K-Mart here in town. They're part of Sears now, you know." I DID try K-Mart, and I found a Black and Decker mixer with just what I wanted for $59.95 plus a $5 gift certificate. One of the boxes had been opened, so I opened it further to make sure that I had all the extras I wanted, and it did. I was elated to save $150 and get the type mixer I wanted, and it renewed my faith in K-Mart. I felt so good, I even went to the gym and exercised for an hour. See what happens when things go your way for a change!! It must mean that spring is on it's way.
