Have you ever just felt like doing nothing but sitting on the couch and looking at all your scrapbooking magazines (trying to find great ideas) and letting the TV drone on uselessly while you don't even watch it? Well, that's what I've done all day long. I need to make a card to send to my grandson for his 14th birthday, and I even considered going out and buying one. Eeegads!! I haven't bought a card for ages. They cost too much!! I sat there on the couch leafing through various magazines, and then I picked up my Kindle Fire and went into the eBay app. and bought 4 or 5 Cricut cartridges - not because I'll use them all, but because it's an addiction - they were cheaper than usual. Now I have to face my husband when they all start arriving at the door with the mail lady. It's so bad, that I finally had to put one of my plastic storage boxes on the porch labeled "For Packages". I kept finding my purchased mail-order items out in the front yard opened and chewed on by my dogs, so I had to come up with something! I had put myself on another buying freeze, but apparently I can't control it at the moment. With the Kindle and the eBay app. it's just to easy to click "purchase", and there I go again.
Tonight I'm going to prepare for my video of the last pages of the mini- album I'm posting to You Tube, so maybe that'll keep me busy and out of trouble. Hope so. Take care. Judy
The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.
I'm So Glad You Stopped By
