About Me

My photo
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

A BEAUTIFUL LAYERED HYDRANGEA CARD

Here I am again, having done another new card.  This one was tedious, but fairly simple.  All you need is a good sized stamp of a flower or something decorative like a medallion.  Then cut 4 pieces of white paper - each piece 1/2 in. smaller in height and width than the one before it.  Then stack them centered, one on top of the other, starting with the largest on the bottom.  If necessary, put temporary adhesive between the layers to hold them in place.  Then stamp your image on top of this stack, making sure that the papers don't move.  Next, mat each stamped piece with a piece of card stock (same color for all) exactly 1/8 inch larger in dimensions.  Glue the matted papers on top of each other, being careful to match up the image pieces.  Color if desired - I did.  Then place on the front of your card.  Here's a picture of mine:
