About Me

My photo
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

BACK TO THE OLD GRIND, BUT AT LEAST SPRING IS ABOUT HERE!

I am back from my trip to Utah, and, I must say, it was a very lovely time.  It was warm, and the only time it snowed was the second day I was there.  It snowed all day, and, while the others were out beating themselves in blizzard conditions on some mountain, I stayed comfortably inside and took some videos and pictures.  Here are some of the pictures I took:

This is a postcard of Westgate Resort, which is about 40 minutes from Salt Lake City.  We were in the Elk Lodge.

I had my own bedroom, with king-sized bed, huge window over-looking the pool, and across the room, my own TV.  Basically we were on the second floor of the lodge and very close to a nice restaurant and the ski slopes.

This was Cade's room.  It was basically a connected living room to my room, with a bathroom in between.  He slept on the pull-out bed from the couch.  It was terribly uncomfortable, but he was so tired at night, he didn't seem to mind.

This is the living room, TV room.  It had a gas fireplace, that we did use in the early mornings, because it was cold at that time.  There was also a patio with table and chairs over-looking the pool area, but it was too cool to use them.

Laura and Brian used the main bedroom.  It came with a huge Jacuzzi bath tub, large bathroom, and a steam sauna that doubled as a shower too.  Very nice.

Full kitchen with washer and dryer inside the folding doors on the left, and a full-sized refrigerator on the left also.  The only meals we cooked in there was breakfast.

Our dining room table that was always piled with gloves, scarfs, and hats

Cade (on right) and two of his neighborhood friends that were out there skiing also.  We spent quite a bit of time with them.  Cade looks mad, but he's really trying to look cool.
I did manage to do some shopping in downtown Park City, and bought some souviners (sp??) for the ones back at home.  I'll try to include some pics of the snow (or lack of it) in my next post.
