About Me

My photo
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

I'M A SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER FOR TOMORROW AGAIN.

Tomorrow is my day to teach Sunday School for our adult class.  Our lesson is going to be on Luke 14 and the Parable of the Banquet.  At first I thought it was going to be a difficult lesson to teach, but the more I read about it, the more I understood what it was all about.  Thank Goodness for the internet.  I found all sorts of information from people who study the Bible and explain what it all means, so I was able to pick up quite a few examples from various texts about this particular section of Luke.  I really don't mind teaching Sunday School to adults, because they're much more attentive and responsive than your average school age child.  Adults can actually pay attention for the whole 45 minutes or so, and will interact when I ask a question.  I'm always glad when it's over, though, because I don't really like gathering all my information in preparation for thinking what I need to talk about.  I generally type out my lesson, so that I don't leave something out or get off the subject.  Tomorrow's lesson is 4 pages long, but I probably won't get all the way through it.
If you want to know what I'm teaching, look out Luke 14 and read about the Parable of the Banquet.  Jesus makes all sorts of points with this one.  Wish me luck!!
