I truly can't believe it, but I have completed my Christmas shopping and have mailed out all my Christmas cards. I feel like a ton of bricks has been lifted off me. And you know what? I did all of my shopping on line - most of it on Amazon for the Prime membership free shipping. We're going to our youngest daughter's in Mt. Juliet. She's the one with the 3 kids, so it'll be some fun chaos. My husband will just sit back and watch it all take place and then play with all the toys afterwards.
This Sunday is my turn to teach Sunday School. I will be teaching about Zechariah's prophesies about his son John (the Baptist). Basically it's about how Jesus' birth gives hope to a sinful world. Christmas really is about hope, isn't it? It doesn't matter if one is Christian, Jewish, or Muslim, Black or White, we all have special days we celebrate this time of year - Hannukah, Kwanza, Christmas, etc. Hopefully someday the whole world will be able to rejoice together. During these days, I wish you all Peace and Joy and Happiness for the coming New Year. Stay healthy, and I promise that I will try to post blogs more often. - I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.
