About Me

My photo
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

HOME AND BACK INTO THE SWING OF NORMAL LIFE AGAIN

Ahhhhh, it's good to be home again.  Don't get me wrong, it's great to get away for a few days to do the things I love to do and have "girlfriend" time, but it's just so nice to kick  back in our new lounge chairs and watch our new "smart" TV.  DirecTV came and hooked it up yesterday, and the first thing we found out was that it's a lot smarter than we are!  There are so many things we are supposed to be able to do with this TV, that it makes my head spin.  With one click of the remote, we totally screwed up our TV watching for the whole evening - and that's the truth!  We got on some screen with little squares of available channels, but we weren't able to get to any of them.  Finally frustration sent us both to bed in bad moods, and when we got up, the frustration with that weird screen started all over again.  Finally, I spent the morning on the phone with DirecTV and convinced them to send a tech. out on Thursday morning to re-program our remote and give us a lesson on how to work the thing.  I feel like a failure!   Do any of you have one of the new smart TV's?  Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Tomorrow I'm going to be filming a video of a new mini-book I made while I was on our retreat.  It's already bought and paid for, but I wanted to show it to everyone before I mail it off.  Please stay tuned!
