About Me

My photo
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

Today it didn't rain all day, although it was forecast to do so.  Actually, it was just really cloudy and threatened to rain, but never really did.  So, as is our usual routine on the 4th of July, we went to the Greenback parade.  It is so typically small town America that we just love it.  My husband and our grandson were going to decorate his jeep and drive it in the parade, but, because of the rain forecast, we decided to just be spectators and chase for candy in the streets.  Cade was just as happy to do that anyway.  Here are some pics:
This is Norm's cousin "Blue" on a motorcycle he built.  He's quite a character.

Lots of kids decorated their 4-wheelers.  This little boy is about to out-grow his!

Cade's waiting for the parade to start.
