About Me

My photo
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

MY MOTHER'S DAY ROSE

My sweet daughter, Laura, in Florida sent me this lovely miniature pink rose for Mother's Day.  It was such a lovely suprise, and, hopefully I can do it justice, as they do need a lot of water.  I have a tendency to let plants in pots get too dry, and miniature roses really drop their leaves when that happens.  Here in Tennessee, we can actually plant them in the ground, but I'm going to try my best to keep this one going.  It's loaded with pretty pink buds!
