I have been so lazy lately that I can't seem to get anything done. I did do that simple little mini-album that I put up on You Tube, but otherwise, I haven't even been in the mood to scrapbook - let alone finish cleaning up my scrapping area. I got started with the 2013 Scrap Rack Get Organized Challenge and was doing pretty well with it, and then my sister arrived from Florida. Since then, I haven't done anything else productive as far as organization goes. I just can't get motivated! The weather has been so nice, and the trees and flowers have all been blooming. It just seems to call me outside to experience the beauty all around. Spring is so lovely here in East Tennessee, and it seems such a waste to have to stay inside and do laundry, cook, and clean house. So, I don't. We have been pretending to be tourists - that's why we went back to Dollywood again. My Nashville grandchildren were here for Eli's 8th birthday, and we all went to Dollywood, and then had a fun little birthday party (with water balloons!!) and a Sponge Bob cookie cake and ice cream. It was such fun having them all here, and I know the little fella enjoyed being the center of attention for a whole day.
Now I'm still doing sheets and towels, as 5 extra people in our little house end up sleeping all over the place, including the living room. They also eat a lot.
LOL!
What are all of you planning to do this summer? In May I will be taking a short trip to Cottey College in Missouri for a fun "summer school experience". I will be learning how to do Hawaiian quilting. Then I'll be going back to Florida to bring back Cade for a week or so on the farm with Grammy and Papaw. Then his parents will arrive and spend the next week with us. By the time all this is through, the summer will be over. How the time does fly!
The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.
I'm So Glad You Stopped By
