The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

ON MY OWN FOR 5 DAYS, LOVE IT!
My husband is on a fishing trip in Florida, and I have been left to my own devices for the past 3 days. I have 2 more days to go before he gets home. I have been constantly organizing around the house, trying to get clutter back where it belongs, purging things in my craft room, and also continuing to get my scrapping stuff into my Scrap Rack. Progress has been slow, because I had stuff scattered all over the place, and I need to pull it all together in one area. I have found that I own almost 65 Cricut cartridges, and booklets that go with them. And you know what? Those things take up a lot of storage space! I am getting rid of the boxes and just keeping the cartridges and the booklets with overlays. But I still haven't found the perfect container to organize even this many cartridges. I tried divided fishing tackle boxes, but they wouldn't close. Now I'm trying the ArtBin racks. They hold the cartridges, but not all the books. If anyone has any good ideas about storing these things, please leave a comment.

Hi Judy,
ReplyDeleteI saw on You Tube that you just started using Scrap Rack. Me too!!! and I love it! It's really helping me get organized.
Re: your Cricut cartridges, check out the Scrap Rack containers. I haven't tried them yet but they look like they would work great. I do plan to try them. I think she said they hold 3-4 complete sets except the box.
I'm watching the videos for the mini album. I'm enjoying it very much. Hope to make one soon. Thank you for all your work. I do have a question though. Can you print the instructions for the tutorials from the videos or from your blog?
Thanks again.
Hi "Anonymous",
ReplyDeleteI was going to buy the Scrap Rack cartidge containers, until I counted up how many Cricut cartridges I have - over 70 in all. I'm afraid putting all 70 in my SR would add too much bulk, especially if I got 6 in each page. So, I've given up that idea. You can get the tutorial on the 6 x 6 mini album from Kathy at Paper phenomenon's blog site. It's the soft spine2 6x6 tutorial. You have to pay on Paypal and download it. Otherwise if you send me you e-mail address to grammygoodson@gmail.com, I'll try to send it to you, but it's a zip file.
I'm sorry. The e-mail address is wrong. It's jggrammygoodson@gmail.com
