- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

Franklin, North Carolina - That's Where We are
Please forgive this post, as I am typing it from my iPhone. I'm sure there will be many mistakes. I have been here since Sunday - along with my sister Jan, daughter Laura, her husband Brian and grandson Cade. Cade and Brian have been snowboarding at Maggie Valley, while we girls have "shopping shopped" our way through the nice little town of Franklin and watching it snow fr the house front window. Good food, and a fun time! We also had to take Laura to the Urgent Care Clinic because she has a sinus infection. So far, no one else has gotten sick. We're leaving for home tomorrow.
