A week has gone by since last I posted anything.
And, let me tell you, I've eaten enough lasagna to last me a lifetime. Many of my daughter's friends and neighbors have kindly provided us with meals while she is recovering from her surgery, and most of them have been lasagna. Now, I love lasagna, just not 4 days in a row! We even started giving some of it away to relatives, we had so much. I must say, people have been so nice to provide food and desserts for us, I fear I have definitely put on a few pounds. The only activity we have done is go to her doctors and then the pharmacy. The weather has been lovely and slightly cool at night - good sleeping weather, and we have not gotten up real early due to the fact that all we have to do is sit around the house. I wish I had some crafts to do, or some scrapbooking, but they don't ever get their pictures taken off the computer to be developed. We could at least do something productive. I made about ten Christmas layouts for her a few years back, but they sit in the scrapbook with no pictures on them. Obviously, my oldest daughter has not inherited my scrapbooking genes. I will be going home this coming Sunday, and hopefully get back to my normal life again. Talk to you later.
The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.
I'm So Glad You Stopped By
