The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

FROM TORRENTIAL RAINS TO A PIDDLY SNOW
We've been having torrential rains for the past 5 days, with substantial flooding and everyone's septic tanks overflowing. Fortunately ours didn't, because our drain field runs downhill. Then yesterday afternoon, our annoying rains rapidly tuned into blowing, heavy snow that lasted about 6 hours. It was pretty, but we only got about an inch of snow at the most, and it was gone by noon this morning. All the kids got a day off of school, even though the sun was shining all day today. It was cold enough that some of the back roads remained iced up, and the school buses couldn't run on them. It was our first snow of the season, and that's always exciting for us Tennesseans. Global warming keeps the main snows away from our neck of the woods. The mountains of the Smokies get a lot, but we're just far enough away that we're spared most of the deep snows. When we first moved to Tennessee, it used to snow all winter long, but not so any more. I miss those pretty wintery days and the sledding down the hills.
