WHAT??? WE HAD AN EARTHQUAKE!!

Yesterday I went scrapbooking with my friend Linn in Oak Ridge, and at about 12:30 P.M.  we had an earthquake - 4.3 on the Richter scale, according to the news.  I felt absolutely nothing.  However, some friends closer to the mountains really got bumped around, apparently.  The epicenter was in Kentucky, but we're not far from the state line.  Have any of you been in earthquakes - even small ones?  Tennessee has them quite often because there is a major fault in the midddle of the state.  Most of the time we get a little shakiness and a sound like a jet has broken the sound barrier, but once, in the middle of the night we had one that cracked a bathroom mirror and woke up our kids.  My husband's woodworking shop has a crack right across the entire length of his cement floor which happened during an earthquake.  When we had horses, they could always feel earthquakes before we did, and they would go wild running around in fright in the pasture.  Our earth is an amazing place, and these occurances always remind me of how tenuous our hold is on nature's ways.  In truth, we have no hold at all on natural events and these things that happen - luckily we can often predict them, but we can't prevent them  Got any earthquake stories?  I'd love to hear them!
