Yesterday I decided it was time for a computer "tune-up" with iYogi, my online technical support company. I have a year's subscription with them, and when either of my computers start acting slow or weird, I give them a call in India, Malayasia, or wherever they are. They take control of my computer, get rid of all the trash files, and Voila!, everything is working better after that - except I still couldn't get my wireless printer to work. I got connected with them when I was having trouble with my wireless router, and the number to call for tech support was theirs. At that time I ended up paying $179.00 for a year's contract with them. This time I forked over $499 for a three year's contract - how stupid am I???? I'm supposed to call them every month so they can clean up my hard drive, and for that kind of money, I WILL call them every month, and they'd better keep my computers working great. I was on the phone with them while my husband watched an entire football game - that's too long! I finally told them it was dinnertime in my side of the world, and I had to hang up. So, a word to the wise - be careful if you get ahold of someone from iYogi support, because it will cost you money!!
Incidentally, I kept my little baby finch alive long enought to put him in a nest with little finches his size. So far, he's still in there and doing well.
The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.
