- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

I'M PACKING MY BAGS.
We are leaving out of Nashville on this Thursday A.M. (bright and early) headed for Boston Logan, and then on to Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket. I am totally ready for this vacation!! Remember, it was delayed for 3 weeks because of Hurricane Irene, but now the weather looks favorable, and the trip is on. I have a small wireless notebook I'm taking with me, so I can blog each night and let everyone know what we're doing. My laundry is up-to-date, my pets are taken care of, and I'm about all packed. So, wish me luck and I'll keep in touch. No crafting though. I'll miss that. Oh yes, I am also coming down with a nasty cold - wouldn't you know!
