Here it is Tuesday night, and we're sitting on the couch waiting to watch the results of Dancing With the Stars, to see which 3 couples are going to be in the finals. I got up early this morning and got out of the house, even though it was a very windy, stormy day. I have decided to audition for a play ("Rumors") that our local theatre group is putting on, and I need to have a comedic monologue, s00000, I hit the library and checked out the play "Crimes Of the Heart". I played Lennie in that play years ago, and there are a couple of pretty good monologues in that that I ought to be able to recall fairly easily. I think I'm going to use the part where she finally calls "Charlie", her old boyfriend. I was asked to audition for this, which is pretty much a compliment, but I really don't care whether I get it or not. Rehearsals would probably be a pain around the Holidays. We'll see what happens.
Oh, yes, my Cricut Imagine arrive today. The box was huge - too big for me to carry it in the house. I had to cut the shipping box off and then drag the Cricut box through the living room and into my craft room. I managed to get it up on the stand where it goes, but I haven't been able to play with it yet. I'm trying to get my house cleaned up for the Camera Club meeting tomorrow night. Bye.
The writer speaks of the common occurences in the life of anyone who scrapbooks regularly and finds that she (or he) has spent more on scrapbooking tools than on food for the family. There are musings about a hobby that creates a mess wherever you work at it, and as long as there are unscrapped photographs anywhere in the house, it never ends. And there are always new and wonderful products coming out that one HAS to have!
About Me
- Judy G.
- I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.
